Optimizing the vegetarian foodie app journey

UX/UI

BACKGROUND:

Yourbeet aims to help consumers live more sustainably, primarily through their dietary choices. By sharing knowledge and inspiration about nutritious, vegetarian food, they create a sense of contributing to making the world a better place. Recipes created by influencers and renowned chefs can easily be transformed into a meal kit delivered to your home.

INSIGHT:

Since Yourbeet aims to inspire and simplify the process for users to eat nutritiously and sustainably, we wondered if this is reflected in their service. How can we make the experience of using Yourbeet as seamless as their vision?

IDEA:

By shorting and creating an easier and more userfriendly onboarding process, our goal was to reduce the attrition of new users when downloading the app.

PROCESS & WIREFRAMES

Through comprehensive research conducting interviews with our target group "Eco-Conscious Family Foodies." as in financially well-off, primarily families with children (mothers), as women typically make most household purchases and seek inspiration/recipes for the family.

Insights such as “I want to be able to enter dishes as well as individual food items” and shortening the cooking time since most of our test users wanted quick recipes was key when designing the prototype.
