CHALLENGE:

Yourbeet wanted to reduce user drop-off during onboarding and create a more engaging journey for new users.
How might we simplify onboarding and highlight quick, inspiring recipes while still allowing flexibility in how users enter food items and dishes?

PROCESS:

Research → Interviews with eco-conscious families revealed frustration with long onboarding and unclear recipe access.

Ideation → Wireframes focused on a quicker, step-by-step flow.

Design → High-fidelity mockups balancing simplicity and inspiration.

Testing → Iterations to shorten time-to-value and increase clarity.

RESULT

The redesigned onboarding reduced friction and helped users reach recipe inspiration faster. By combining guided choices with flexibility in entering both dishes and ingredients, the app better supported eco-conscious families looking for everyday plant-based meals.
